Paris Hilton will be charged with felony drug possession after allegedly being caught with .8 grams of cocaine this weekend, TMZ reports via court documents. The DA is reportedly set to file the case Monday.Hilton, 29, was arrested in Las Vegas for possession of a controlled substance on Friday night. Police pulled over a car driven by her boyfriend, nightclub owner Cy Waits, after detecting marijuana coming from the vehicle. When a small container of cocaine was discovered in Hilton’s purse, she was briefly detained at Clark County Detention Center before being released on bailWhen questioned about the cocaine, Hilton “said she had not seen it, but now thought it was gum,” an officer said. At various points, Hilton also said the purse was not hers, then that it was hers but had been in a friend’s possession.The police report by Lieutenant D. Flynn reads:
Due to the fact that the suspected cocaine fell from the purse Hilton was carrying, that the suspect cocaine was found near a broken prescription pill that Hilton admitted was hers, that she admitted that other items inside the purse were hers (including a package of Zig Zag wrappers, which are commonly used to roll and smoke marijuana), and that she was the passenger inside the vehicle, which was stopped after Officer M. Polion smelled the strong odor of marijuana coming from it, I placed Hilton under arrest for possession of a controlled substance cocaine.
