Luc Ferry, Former French Education Minister, To Be Questioned After Making Morocco Orgy Claims About Associate.

PARIS — The French prosecutor’s office says it has launched a preliminary investigation after a former government minister alleged that another ex-minister had participated in an orgy with young boys in Morocco.

A judicial official said on Wednesday that former Education Minister Luc Ferry will likely be questioned after alleging during a television show that another minister was caught at an orgy in Marrakech. The official spoke on condition of anonymity since she wasn’t authorized to speak publicly.

Ferry did not name the minister or the government in which that minister had served, but said he heard about the case from a prime minister. Ferry, who appeared on the television show on Monday, did not specify which one.

Father Charged in Slaying of Two Sons Near Atlanta.

ATLANTA — A man who blamed his children’s fatal stabbings this week on their mother’s boyfriend was charged on Saturday with killing the two boys and wounding another. Police in suburban Atlanta also dropped murder charges that had been brought against the boyfriend.

Gwinnett County police had found the father, Elvis Noe-Garcia, with stab wounds Wednesday outside the house near Lawrenceville where the dead boys were. The 23-year-old Noe-Garcia was not married to their mother and was involved in a dispute with her over custody of the children.

Police arrested Noe-Garcia Saturday morning and charged him with two counts of murder and one count of aggravated assault. Police did not know whether he had a lawyer.

Three-year-old Bradley Garcia and 1-year-old Edward Garcia were found stabbed to death in the home. Bradley’s twin brother was hospitalized with stab wounds.

Police arrested 28-year-old Antonio Cardenas-Rico shortly after the attack and charged him with murder and assault, based on Noe-Garcia’s accusations. But they quickly noticed discrepancies between Noe-Garcia’s statement, the evidence and Cardenas-Rico’s alibi.

After spending hours recreating the scene, examining the evidence and re-interviewing witnesses, police arrested Noe-Garcia.

Authorities have dropped the murder and assault charges against Cardenas-Rico, but he remains in custody on a charge of possession of marijuana with intent to distribute. Both Noe-Garcia and Cardenas-Rico are believed to be in the country illegally, police spokesman Cpl. Jake Smith said.

Cardenas-Rico’s court-appointed lawyer Matt Crosby said Saturday that he doesn’t believe police acted hastily in arresting his client.

“I think the Gwinnett County police acted appropriately with the information they had at the time,” he said, adding that he was grateful to police and to Gwinnett District Attorney Danny Porter for acting quickly on information his client provided.

Police have said the children’s mother and an older sister weren’t home at the time of the attack and were later found unhurt.

Ex-KC and the Sunshine Band Bassist Gets 7 Years in Prison for Teen Sex Charges.

Telling a judge he was embarrassed, disgusted and ashamed, a former member of KC and the Sunshine Band has been sentenced in Ohio to seven years in prison for sex charges involving teen boys.

Bassist and music producer Richard Finch entered pleas of no contest in Licking County Common Pleas Court on Monday to unlawful sexual conduct with a minor and several other charges.

His voice breaking, the 56-year-old Finch apologized to a judge and the teens, saying he had little memory of the activities because he was impaired by alcohol.

The multiple Grammy Award winner was arrested in March after police said a boy reported that he’d had sexual contact with Finch at the man’s home in Newark in central Ohio. They said Finch later admitted he’d had sexual contact with boys ranging in age from 13 to 17.
Finch told the judge he takes “responsibility 100 percent” for his conduct and that it was less than his character.

“I am very proud of the legacy in the music business that I have created, but sadly because of my stupidity while under the influence of alcohol, I will not be remembered for that contribution and, rather, I will be remembered for this unfortunate moment in time,” Finch said. “It is my own fault and I will work hard to regain trust and respect from those I let down, including myself.”

He removed his glasses and wiped away tears just before the judge handed down the sentence.

The Newark Advocate reports court records say Finch paid a 15-year-old boy $100 for sexual acts in a closet of his home where guitars are stored.

The records say that Finch had told teens, “The music industry is all about sex and drugs” and “If you tell your parents, they’re going to … freak out, they are older and they are not in the business.”

In March, KC and the Sunshine Band founder Harry Wayne Casey told PopEater he hoped to cease Finch’s affiliation with the band’s name.”I created KC & The Sunshine Band in 1973. Mr. Finch subsequently joined the band a year later. While his talent contributed to the early success of the KCSB sound, his involvement ended in 1980.”
