50 Cent to Write Book for Teens on Bullying.

Grammy-winning rapper and author 50 Cent is writing a book for teens called ‘Playground,’ a semi-autobiographical novel about bullying, reports MTV.

According to a statement from the book’s publisher, the novel will be released in January 2012, and follows a 13-year-old schoolyard bully “who finds redemption as he faces what he’s done.”

“I had a strong desire to write ‘Playground’ because I wanted to explore how a kid becomes a bully,” the hip-hop star said in a statement. “I drew on events from my own childhood and adolescence, but was excited to see the story take on its own life. This book would have been very helpful for me growing up and now that I have a teenage son, it is my goal that this will have a positive influence on all teenagers.”

The rapper’s released his first book, the autobiographical ‘From Pieces to Weight,’ in 2005, which went on to become a New York Times Bestseller.

Killer Mike-Affiliated Rapper Supa Sport Arrested by DEA.

Rapper Supa Sport has been indicted as the ringleader of a drug trafficking organization responsible for distributing heroin, crack, cocaine and marijuana.

The Detroit-repping, New Jersey-based MC — born Carl Barnett — was arrested by the DEA on June 10, and is being charged, along with 14 fellow members of his crew, the Detroit Boyz, with conspiracy to distribute controlled substances.

As an MC, Supa Sport recently released a mixtape entitled ‘Life in da Fastlane,’ which featured 8Ball & MJG, Lex Luger, Meek Mill and Atlanta rappers Killer Mike and Alley Boy. As Carl Barnett, or his street aliases “Pizzo,” “Marcale Hill” or “Mark Hill,” he allegedly ran the Detroit Boyz drug ring, coordinating the drug acquisitions, processing, packaging and resale out of an auto body shop in Morrisville, N.J. Barnett and the Detroit Boyz also customized vehicles with secret drug transportation compartments, and frequently traveled to Georgia to purchase cocaine — and perhaps to record — which they then distributed throughout the Trenton, N.J. area.

The 77-page indictment states that the DEA employed an informant to infiltrate the Detroit Boyz, and includes a sampling of Supa Sport’s lyrics, which likely provided similar information. On his Killer Mike-featured ‘Days Like This,’ the alleged drug trafficker boasts about selling “powder to the rocks and E’s for the poppers,” before lamenting, “The Feds takin’ flicks … They tappin’ my phones, invadin’ all my privacies.”

If found guilty, Supa Sport faces a minimum penalty of five years in prison, and a maximum of 40 years, plus a $5 million fine.

Bill O’Reilly got into a shouting match with rapper Lupe Fiasco about terrorism and the war in Afghanistan on his Monday show.

Fiasco was on to defend his comment that President Obama and the U.S. government are the “biggest” terrorists in the world.

O’Reilly took Fiasco to task for the comments. “President Obama is not a terrorist,” he said. “He’s trying to do what he believes is the right thing to do.”

Fiasco tried to explain that “every president before and after” Obama could also be described as a terrorist, because of American foreign policy. “If you’re going to fight terrorism, to me, you fight the root causes of terrorism,” he said.

O’Reilly sternly told Fiasco that his followers “are not exactly political science PhD’s” and that he was misleading them. “I don’t think that that matters,” Fiasco said. “I don’t think that politics are as complex as people like to make them seem.”

The two then started arguing about the war in Afghanistan. Fiasco said that the war had been misguided since it had strayed from its original aims.

“Why are we in Afghanistan if it wasn’t to hunt down Al Qaeda and the terrorist network?” he asked.

Story continues below

“You are oversimplifying a message that is not true,” O’Reilly shot back.

Tone Loc Arrested for Domestic Violence.

‘Funky Cold Medina’ rapper Tone Loc (whose real name is Anthony Terrell Smith) was arrested on Saturday afternoon at a Burbank, Calif., apartment complex and charged with felony domestic violence.

The arrest, one day before Father’s Day, stemmed from an alleged physical altercation with the mother of his child. According to TMZ, the 45- year-old West Coast rap star and voice actor was taken in, without incident, and booked at the local jail in a few hours. He is being held on a $50,000 bond.

Earlier this year, Tone Loc had another run-in with the law when he was spotted driving erratically in January and arrested for DUI. He was released on bail claiming a medical condition caused a seizure (the artist has collapsed onstage in seizure in the past).
Though best known for his 1980’s hits ‘Wild Thing’ and ‘Funky Cold Medina,’ the four-time Grammy nominee with the uniquely gravelly voice has also taken acting roles in films such as ‘Ace Ventura: Pet Detective’ and TV series such as ‘Touched by an Angel.’

Check out Tone Loc in a 1990’s TV appearance (he stars opposite Phil Harman in the opening scene of this clip), as he dons a badge to enforce law and order around the offices of ‘NewsRadio’:

Nicki Minaj’s Backside Is Fake, According to Ice-T’s Wife.

Nicki Minaj’s ample “assets” have long been a topic of discussion, and now comes more word that her body parts may not be real.

Ice-T’s wife, Coco revealed in an interview with Perez Hilton that as far as she knows, Minaj is rocking a fake derriere because the rapper admitted so. “Well, I read that it wasn’t. I thought that she came out with it. I heard it from her,” the 31-year-old told Hilton.

Sensing that she may have said too much, Coco quickly backtracked. “Okay I don’t know… We’re not even going to go there anymore. You know what I say about a lot of stylists that work with me… They work with me, they touch my body, they’re doing stuff all day long. So they’re doing that same thing to Nicki Minaj and they’re saying a little bit different.”

Minaj has never publicly come out and stated that her backside was fake, but scoffed at those who even care. “People will pick anything to talk about, and that happens to be the thing at the moment. I love being a conversation piece,” she told the New York Post last year.

Like the Young Money MC, Coco has also been known to make her rear end a focal point. The model-turned-reality star has been hit with rumors that she too is rocking a fake backside, a topic which she has addressed while promoting her new show, ‘Ice Loves Coco,’ which follows her day-to-day life and 10-year relationship with the rap veteran.

‘Ice Loves Coco’ airs on the E! network, Sundays at 10:30PM EST.

Fat Joe Talks Weight Loss, ‘If I Could Be 1000 Pounds I Would’.

Fat Joe has been known to boast about a stature that rivaled protégé Big Pun’s in girth. So when the husky rapper, who once tipped scales at 400 pounds, debuted his new 265-pound frame in his ‘Drop A Body’ video earlier this week, fans were understandably concerned.

In a video interview with the New York Daily News, the formerly obese MC addressed his drastic weight loss. He explained that while he has “always loved being fat,” a recent string of heart attack-related deaths amongst his group of friends has forced him to pay drop 75 pounds, out of concern for his family.

“I always loved being fat, obviously. I’m Fat Joe. If I could gain 1,000 pounds and be healthy, I would love to do that,” Joe explained, without a hint of humor. “The biggest killer of people is food. It kills more people than AIDS or gun violence or war, anything you can name. Eveybody keep catching strokes and heart attacks, and what happened to me was, like seven of my friends passed last year from heart attacks, and they were all 32, 34 years old, 35. And I said, ‘I got kids, I can’t leave ‘em like that.’ This world is too hard for me to leave my kids, without me supervising and being there for them.”

The Terror Squad leader went on to speak about his overweight fans using his weight loss as inspiration, rather than following Big Pun’s lead into morbid obesity.

“If Fat Joe, F-A-T J-O-E, fattest guy you know, could lose some weight, you could lose some too. Just cut back on the carbs and work out. Don’t go up in KFC, don’t go up in McDonalds, don’t go up in Burger King, don’t go up in none of that stuff,” Joey Crack admonished. “Big Pun died, he was 27, or something. That’s a shame, he was a genius, he was a beautiful person. Lotta my friends, too. I hope I can encourage you, you can be like ‘Yo, Fat Joe did it, I could do it, too.’”

B.G. Faces 10 Years in Prison for Gun and Conspiracy Charges.

Former Cash Money rapper B.G. is facing up to 10 years in prison after being indicted on gun and conspiracy charges.

In a statement issued on Thursday (May 19) U.S. Attorney Jim Letten said that the New Orleans native — real name, Christopher Dorsey — is facing one count of conspiracy to obstruct justice and two counts of being a felon in possession of a fireman, following a November 2009 arrest.

B.G. and two associates were pulled over and arrested after a routine traffic stop in 2009, when police found three handguns, loaded magazines and extended clips in the rapper’s car. B.G. and one associate were charged with illegally carrying firearms, while the third passenger was charged with drug possession.

The 30-year-old rapper is now accused of trying to pass off ownership of the illegal firearms to another passenger in the vehicle. If he is found guilty, B.G. can find himself behind bars for up to a decade.

B.G. parted ways with Cash Money Records after having a dispute with CEO Bryan “Birdman” Williams, and has since launched his own label, Chopper City Records. He released his eleventh album ‘Too Hood 2 Be Hollywood’ in 2009, and the his twelfth, tentatively titled ‘It’s All On U, Vol. 3’ will likely be delayed by his current legal troubles.
